Yesterday...

We took the girls to the Doctor yesterday just for a check-up. Ya'll I panic about every little thing. Chey Chey weighs 19 pounds. Yep! That's right 19 pounds!!! YAY! Khlo Khlo weighs 17 pounds 13 ounces. Babygirl is catching up to her sissy pretty quickly. They had to get their finger pricked to check their iron, and they didn't even shed a tear.

Waiting on the Doc to come in. I tired to rotate this pic.

Did I mention they are sucking pacies again? It's cute though!

Checking out their Bug Bunny band aids

Remember me telling ya'll about Khlo biting??? Well, she is at it again! She bit Chey twice yesterday, and the second time she left a bruise.... What the heck am I supposed to do about this? This time when I got onto her she cried. It was that Mommy I'm hurt cry... I can't handle that. So suggestions to stop the biting would be great. RC's aunt told me to push down on her teeth next time. I hope there will not be a next time, but if so I will be trying this.

Oh, aren't these outfits just cute?!

Rainbow Babies!

I have been thinking about Cheyenne a lot in the past couple of weeks. Not that I don't usually think about her. Trust me; I think about her everyday.  It may be the fact that I am an avid watcher of "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" and if you watch the show you would know that Ben and Adrian's baby was stillborn, or the fact that I did my research paper on Down Syndrome. Who knows?!

Most of the time when I get like this I go online and read things that I know I shouldn't... and end up bawling my eyes out! Literally! This is exactly what I did today minus the bawling my eyes out part:) In the process of reading the new blog that the Atlanta Perinatal Loss website has and other things I was holding both of the babies while they were napping. I came across a phrase that rang a bell "Rainbow Babies". Where have I heard that? Then it came to me... When the girls were in the NICU one of the nurses said they were "Rainbow Babies". When she said it I thought ok that's cute and sweet, but never thought anything else about it.

Some of you may know what a Rainbow Baby is. I didn't until I read this and I wish like crazy I wouldn't have forgotten what that sweet nurse called my sweet baby girls:

"Rainbow Babies" is the understanding that the beauty of a rainbow does not negate the ravages of the storm. When a rainbow appears, it doesn't mean the storm never happened or that the family is not still dealing with its aftermath. What it means is that something beautiful and full of light has appeared in the midst of the darkness and clouds. Storm clouds may still hover but the rainbow provides a counterbalance of color, energy and hope.

This is so true. I am so happy that GOD BLESSED us with these two baby girls. They are definitely my rainbows after the storm. They brighten my day everyday! They are my life! I love them so much!

GOD is so GOOD!!!

The Girlies!

The Baby Girls have been enjoying lots of new foods here lately. They like oatmeal with fruit, Eggo cinnamon toast, cheese toast, grilled cheese, grapes and strawberries. There really isn't much that they don't like, which is probably a good thing. This morning they had their first ever grilled cheese with pear blueberry baby food.

They are getting really good with the big girl cups.

What should they try next???

Cheyanna has started standing without holding onto anything! I'm pretty sure the girls will be walking before their 1st birthday, if not I will be shocked!

A Chance to Talk about My Angel

Last night I had to go give my presentation for my English class. My topic was Down Syndrome. I think about six people went ahead of me, and I noticed she asked every person why they chose their topic. I was hoping she would maybe forget to ask me this question....

Well she did not forget, and her wording was different for asking me. She said "Is this relatively close to you?"

I told her and the other ten people I have never laid eyes on about how Cheyenne was diagnosed with DS,and that I lost her late in my pregnancy. Wow! I actually shared her story with someone besides my family and didn't cry!  Then I continued to tell them how 1 year and 12 days later GOD blessed us with Identical Twin Girls that are now happy, healthy, beautiful 10 month olds!

Good things came out of that topic! An A+, got to witness about how GREAT GOD is, talk about my angel baby, and BRAG on my Double Blessings that I thank GOD for everyday!

The sky was beautiful on the way home last night and I have to admit I shed a tear or two then...

This is a newborn pic of the Double Blessings! Hard to believe they were ever this little!

Bertolli... This is a short one ya'll..

Let's just say I will never be one of those people who can eat frozen dinners. We had Chicken Parmesan Pasta from Bertolli's selection on frozen meals and it was SUPER YUCKY!
I ended up eating a PB&J and RC ate some hot dogs.<--- Great dinner huh? The girlies chowed down on some homemade mashed potatoes (they love 'em)!

What I Really Need To Be Doing....

Is preparing my presentation for my English class which is due Thursday...... Instead I have been playing with my Loves! I have no motivation today. I feel so blah...

The girls turned 10 months old yesterday! Where is the time going? It seems like yesterday they were so tiny, and we were bringing them home.

So, Khloe clapped for the first time Saturday night while she was eating her pizza, and she also points to her eyes, ears, mouth and nose when you sing the Head Shoulders Knees and Toes song with her. She is my little Firecracker! She also bit her sissy's arm... not good. I mean how do you get onto a 10 month old?

Cheyanna likes to do the Head Shoulders Knees and Toes song too. We are working on the pointing. Also working on the clapping. But she does feed herself puffs:) where Khloe wants her Mommy to feed them to her. She is my Love Bug! I know they are not going to do things at the same time, but sometimes I worry that one is doing something and the other is not...

Having fun in the tub... Cheyanna on the left and Khloe on the right.

Here we go!

I have been meaning to start this blog for a while. I plan on posting often! Mostly about the Baby Girlies and what they have doing (getting into).
